In response to the Decepticon's Pretender Initiative a group of humans want to augment the Autobots. To increase reaction time they design a scheme to fuse human components with transformers. All of the tests until now have been failures.

The humans focus their experiment on a suitable test subject that may promote a higher success rate. They decide on a human that has been exposed to the Allspark as well as the Matrix: Sam Witwicky. Having acquired Sam and Optimus( another ideal candidate) the augmentation forces Optimus back into protoform mode. Were he is provided an alt mode once the powermaster process begins.

Now Optimus weilds more power than ever, however, Sam has to remain within a 50ft radius of Optimus.
