Powermaster Armor by TGping Powermaster Armor by TGping
And a painted version of the powermaster kit. It fits perfectly over Classics Optimus Prime without any modification whatsoever. My Optimus toy is unpainted/unmodified

This is my first painting of a toy... so be gentle :)

Loving this right now xD Although one thing is that I would like to see more details in the model as it looks very smooth and blockish. Not enough details to say it's a robot. Just my opinion anyways.

painted so well i couldn't tell it was paint until i read it, the smokestacks are supposed to be cannons(facing down), but it evokes a bit of G1 nostalgia by resembling the original optimus.

Thanks for the C&C but the smokestacks are pointed up in most(if not all) official artwork. I know the smokestacks are weapons, but I figure this is just the defualt position.

Thanks! I think Fansproject is done making armor for classics prime. And its a pretty small group.

For kaiser godzilla, I plan on remaking it better in a bit, keep those peepers peeled, the next drawing of kaiser godzilla I do will most likely end up being sculpted.

Very nice job on a first time paint job.

Is it hand painted or airbrushed?

Also, I read you were plotting to use Future Floor Finish to seal the kit. I always preferred to go the Lacquer Gloss Coat route as I've had issues with Future yellowing on me pretty bad if the sun catches it or too much time is spent under a fluorescent bulb.

Thought about giving it a pin wash or a general full wash to bring out recessed details? It could really help show those hidden details the paint job coneals?

That's all my questions. Frickin' awesome job!

Thank ya,this is hand painted. I had no idea future yellowed... I'll test it on a scrap piece, could it be the plasstic or paint its sealing?

I might try a wash on this kit later on... for now the original will just be flat :) I also plan on getting some custom sticker sets for these guys, maybe that'll make up for unlined panels :D

I think it's the floor wax itself that yellows. It's something that naturally happens to most floor wax after it's exposed to light for a long period of time. I usually go the highly toxic route of using the lacquers, but they can yellow, too, if exposed to heavy sunlight, so I'm told. Never seen it but my kits never see much sunlight in the basement shelves.

Apparently my geekdom is hidden from all the guests at our house. Heh.

good to know. I dont think I have to much to fear either way, I keep things out of sunlight almost always. :D
